Services and Sermons
Pastor Trevor grounds each week’s message in scripture intent on focusing those who hear on God, His plan for us, and our faith in Him to support Faith UMC’s mission of celebrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to transform lives. His preaching is a contemporary, anecdotal style and does have a teaching focus. Pastor Trevor does like to interact with the congregation, and yes, his message may sometimes step on toes or make some leave with more questions than answers, but that’s ok. Questions give us a chance to go home, think about what we’ve heard, and decide for ourselves what we believe and how we should apply what we have learned. Then, if you want to, we have many opportunities for you to come in for Bible study to continue the conversation after the service is done to learn, discuss, or even debate the message. Even if you don’t want to come in for a formal study group and you want to discuss the message, ask questions, or just have a cup of coffee with the pastor, feel free to contact Pastor Trevor during the week!
We offer Communion on the First Sunday of the month to everyone who confesses Jesus Christ as their Savior. The table is open to all who believe. We openly pray for all who ask and don’t ask anything about you except your name and how you take your coffee or tea. The members and faithful attendees of this house of God have committed themselves to welcoming everyone into this sacred space provided by the Creator God revealed as Father, the Living Word Incarnate as Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit that indwells all Creation. We welcome you to engage with us and worship Him no matter who you are, from where you have come, the experiences, struggles, or gifts you bring, or the questions, doubts, and beliefs you carry. We’re glad to welcome you here!
Worship Service Details
Sunday Worship Services at 10:30am will be held in the Sanctuary at Faith UMC as well as ONLINE.
The Dress code is “come as you are.” You will find people dressed in everything from shorts and t-shirts to jeans to suits or dresses. Clothing is required, but formality is not.
Health Note: We are a “mask optional” environment. During your time with us, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, do not feel out of place. We welcome you here. During the service, we have set aside a section of seating in the back row for those wishing to remain separate from those who choose to attend unmasked. The rest of the sanctuary and the entirety of the church building are mask optional areas.
