VBS 2020: Workshop Of Wonders

VBS Logo: Worskshop of WondersWe are hosting VBS 2020: Worskshop of Wonders live via Zoom video connection on five consecutive Wednesday evenings at 6:30-7:15pm. We began on Wednesday, July 15 and will wrap up on Wednesday, August 12. You are invited to join us for these sessions, but please register so that we can provide you with login information and supplies for the crafts and other activities.

We wish that this summer’s VBS were an in-person event, but out of concern for the safety of families & volunteers we have decided to hold a virtual VBS this year. We can offer families the very best alternative with this online format and a chance to still connect using digital technologies.

We will hold VBS via Zoom every Wednesday from July 15th through August 12th from 6:30 to 7:15 pm using the Workshop of Wonders curriculum. There will be some live and some pre-recorded portions to each session. Our curriculum will include skits, videos, science experiment demonstrations, music, Bible lessons & memory verses, conversation and games. We hope it will provide families something to look forward to each week and will be a positive learning experience. We will also be taking part in a Mission Project to help provide food in Lancaster City, Columbia and Manheim Township as well as tutoring for school students. See below for more information on this Fundraiser.

Looking for a fun project this summer?  As part of the creativity and wondering that is a part of this VBS we encourage you to try a fun family craft. Recycle some items around your house and use them to BUILD A ROBOT! Email a picture of your completed project to faithumc@hotmail.com and we will highlight it as part of the VBS program to share you images with other students.

We intend to make it as simple for families as possible. If the time is not convenient for you, a recorded version of the session will be available on our website to watch at your convenience. We will arrange for contactless pick-up of kits prior to VBS to provide children with all the supplies they need for optional crafts and handouts related to each lesson to do at home. Student registration forms are available by calling 717-560-0321 or register online at www.vbsmate.com/faithumclititz or by downloading this PDF of the Registration Form to print. Please register as soon as possible so that we have time get you a VBS Kit. Once you register you will receive information about how to log into Zoom and times when you can stop in to get your VBS Kit.
